Cover controversy? Naked ambition can't cut it

Stars naked on covers may sell magazines, but can it still stir up controversy? Not likely. <br><br>

Kelly Rowland is setting herself free. With the release of her new album, the sultry songstress is celebrating her independence from Destiny's Child by <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2011/07/28/2011-07-28_kelly_rowland_poses_topless_on_vibe_cover_im_so_comfortable_in_my_skin.html" target="_blank">posing topless</a> on the cover of VIBE magazine.

'I just wanted it to be skin, I'm so comfortable in my skin. As a woman, sometimes that takes so long to get to,' she said, recalling the moment when she held up the pair of jeans the served as her only wardrobe for the shoot.

Rowland's third solo album 'Here I Am' just hit shelves, revealing what she describes as a more 'sensual' side this time around. In her sultry first single, 'Motivation,' she sings candidly about sex, even singing: 'And when we're done, I don't want to feel my legs.'
